Hotel Mar Caribe

The rooms were really clean and nice, and the location was awesome. Food and rooms cost much less here than in the more touristy parts of Puerto Vallarta. On my walks around the area, I didn't see any other gringos. It is near some red light type locations, so I made sure to ask for the room for the whole night. They charged me 790 pesos, which seemed fair. They don't turn on the electricity until 3:00. The woman at the counter was the hardest person to understand during my month in mexico. My Spanish is pretty good and I usually communicate easily, but she spoke so fast and seemed kind of like she was mocking me.
