I rented Condo #9 through AirBnB in Dec 2020. It’s spacious, about 1,000 SF, and has a big terrace with views over the city and parts of the Bay of Banderas. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to PV restaurants, bars, live entertainment, Los Muertos Beach and Pier, and the Malecon. Maria Baja is across the street and delivers tasty seafood. The fresh tuna, octopus, and Poke bowls are worth trying. There’s an OXXO across the street too, handy for beer, booze, ice, and snacks. The pool and deck are nice, with comfortable chaise loungers, though the pool isn’t heated. Amador, the maintenance man, was extremely helpful and bilingual in English and Spanish. The master bedroom A/C didn’t work, and after four days of waiting for the AirBnB host to sort it out, Amador got it fixed. He also replaced and installed the missing toilet seat. He’s the person to go to, and tip him well! The location comes with serious noise. The condo sits on Highway 200 “Barra de Navidad,” where traffic is heavy much of the time. The single-pane windows let in all that traffic sound, and crossing the street is tricky with vehicles flying by. Be careful. There’s also construction all over PV, including a huge 6-8 story building going up right next door. Work noise runs Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm. The wifi didn’t work at all. The furniture and kitchenware are old and worn, and the mattresses are old but still sleepable. The host, Juan, wasn’t a good communicator. There was lots of last-minute paperwork, and he didn’t respond to several emails and texts about extra keys, the broken A/C, wifi, or the missing toilet seat. Would I stay again? Maybe, if the construction were finished, everything in the condo worked, the beds had new mattresses or memory foam toppers, and the host were much more responsive. The street noise can’t be fixed.
