Los Arcos Suites

A kitchenette in the room, a nice pool, and adorable balconies made this a great hotel. It’s good value and well placed for easy access to Zona Romantica. The beach is just one block away, and some amenities are available at two other hotels, including a rooftop pool, restaurant, and bar across the road, plus beach access and lounge chairs a block away.

We had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was really convenient. Being able to use extra amenities at the two sister hotels was a bonus. The week was very reasonably priced, and we’ll definitely be back.

The room smelled so bad that I spent the whole stay looking for air freshener. The bathroom was absolutely filthy, the rooms were old, and the person at the front desk was extremely rude. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The food ended up being one of my favorite parts of the stay, and the lively neighborhood has a character that feels different from other Mexican beach destinations. Los Arcos Suites has the intimate, boutique feel it advertises. Our room was roomy and tidy, with a small living area, kitchen, and a decent-sized bathroom. The building isn’t especially modern, but it has charm and seemed well cared for. We did go without hot water for two nights. The warm weather made it manageable, though dealing with it with a toddler was frustrating. Restaurant service could also be slow, especially for drink refills and silverware. I know an all-inclusive can keep staff busy, but it was noticeable. Still, the meals were delicious. Whenever I’m in Jalisco, I’m reminded how good the food is, and this visit was no different. I’d recommend the hotel for its food, location, and cozy style, with a few minor snags in mind.
