This is a fantastic place to stay if you’re gay and want to be right in the middle of everything. The staff are very gay-friendly and accommodating, and most owners and guests are gay too. It’s quiet, very clean, safe, and in a great location, only 300 feet from the beach with great restaurants right outside. There are amazing ocean views, two huge infinity pools, a gym, sauna, steam room, and more. Rooms 01 and 02 have great ocean views and a private elevator. We stay here for every gay event. I prefer it to Almar, Blue Chairs, and the other AirBNBs. Whoever wrote the negative review was way off about how gay-friendly it is.

IF YOU’RE GAY, THINK TWICE BEFORE MOVING INTO THIS BUILDING. The unit itself looks nice, but our experience in unit 607 was shocking. My husband and I rented it, and within two days we left because of constant hostility, construction noise, and a pile of smaller problems. The worst part was the toxic, homophobic attitude from staff. Management and security made the building feel unsafe and openly homophobic. Residents don’t get a regular fob; security manually controls every entrance and exit, so it feels like you’re constantly watched. Gay guests were often treated with suspicion or hostility, and guards could refuse visitors access at their own discretion. Once, we were told, “gays always cause problems.” More than once, we waited outside for 10 minutes or longer for a guard to return from patrol and let us in. Security also questioned us aggressively and refused entry, even in daytime. Paying high rent and still being made to feel unwelcome was humiliating. When we asked why straight residents had different rules, security called the police. After a private conversation between the guard and officers, we were briefly handcuffed with no legal grounds. It felt like a show of power. The apartment was in terrible shape too. The balcony was dirty and looked unused for ages, the bed linens were stained, and the towels were torn and dirty. When we complained, staff said, “It’s just makeup from previous guests, it’s safe.” Absolutely unacceptable. So many problems in only a couple of days. Save your money and stay away from this building.
This building is in a perfect spot, close to the beach and in the heart of “restaurant row,” but it still feels quiet. There are only 42 units, which gives it a private feel, and my unit was quieter than I expected. The views are amazing, with two infinity pools, one heated, and a really nice gym. Staff are kind and friendly, security is there around the clock, and the building stays clean and in good repair. I love it here and this will be my go-to building from now on.
We’ve been coming back to this building several times a year for six years because we love it here. The security team is always very nice, and the whole crew is fantastic. The gym was being renovated on our most recent stay, which shows they’re taking good care of the place. We can’t wait to return and book massages in the rooftop treatment rooms.
My unit had no view, and I assume most of the lower units are similar. The rooftop pool does have a decent ocean view. I got a fair price, but I wouldn’t stay in this building again. The security gate is a strange, inconvenient setup. To enter or leave, you have to wait for a guard to walk over from around a corner and let you through. You end up standing there hoping they notice you on camera. That feels very unsafe and odd. Giving residents fobs would be a much better way to secure the building.
