The Paramar Beachfront Boutique Hotel - Downtown Malecon

The complimentary breakfast is the one thing I would change. I skipped it entirely this trip because it wasn't really for me, and there are so many good places nearby to eat. Everything else keeps bringing me back to this favorite spot in the 5D neighbourhood. I've stayed at least three times for the lovely staff, service, amenities, and location. You're steps from the beach, with an easy walk to the Malecón and Zona Romántica. Restaurants, bars, cafes, OXXO, Kiosko, Casa Ley, and even Soriana, about 15-20 minutes away on foot, are all nearby. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with kitchenettes, and the water facing balconies are great for sun and sunsets. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful and relaxing. Hasta pronto!

The room was spotless, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. They also left us a complimentary bottle of nice wine, and there was plenty of filtered water for guests. Breakfast cooked to order came with the room. The staff were friendly and efficient, especially Misael and Max, so thanks to everyone. The hotel is across the road from the beach and supplies towels, chairs, and an umbrella at no charge. Restaurants, bars, and shops are close by, and the "Malecon" is about a 15 minute walk.

A little boutique hotel that gets the basics really right. It's very clean, and the staff go out of their way to help. The rooftop pool is generally quiet, with great food and drinks. You're steps from the beach and Melacon too. Hidden gem in 5 de Diecembre, and I plan to come back.

The front desk really needs work. The girls there were insufficient, didn't speak English, which is vital, and gave a don't-care attitude. On the other hand, Francisco, Clemente, Hector, and the breakfast staff went overboard for us and deserve a mention. The rest of the team are always smiling, helpful, and accommodating. It's a terrific, cozy hotel within walking distance of the malecón and plenty of good restaurants.
