Marsai Hotel Boutique

The room was wonderful, the pool was great, and the view was stunning. We had great food, too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price made the whole place even better, and I couldn't ask for more. I was skeptical while driving down the dirt road, but it turned out to be a place I highly recommend.

The view is amazing and the hotel is quaint, but the noise would be a problem for light sleepers. Doors slam often, and lobby conversations carry through the property. From rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors facing the beach, you can hear the pool music blasting from about 16:00ish, which makes a nap or a quiet break nearly impossible. The location also takes planning. The nearest town with restaurants and shops is roughly an hour's walk, so I highly recommend arranging a driver or renting a vehicle. Only a handful of staff speak English. They’re decently nice, but if you don’t think you can get by with that, this probably isn’t the place for you. The WiFi was out about 90% of the time. That was fine while I was on holiday, but calls with clients and colleagues kept dropping, so don’t rely on working remotely. Our towels were rough, abrasive, and quite stained, and there were few amenities. The property also had a sewer smell throughout. It’s definitely NOT a Luxury Hotel. We travel quite often and didn’t arrive with high expectations, so we were totally fine with our 4 nights here, but anyone expecting luxury will be sorely disappointed. I’m extremely confused by the 5 star reviews when it lacks the amenities and standards that qualify as luxury.

Every suite has stunning views over turquoise water and a sandy beach. Marsai Boutique Hotel is a secluded gem with a serene, luxurious atmosphere. It made for a peaceful escape, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in paradise.

The rooftop restaurant gave us beautiful sunsets, and the piña coladas were the best I had in all of Mexico. This cute boutique hotel is on a stunning beach, with amazing views and a quiet, relaxing feel. The staff were attentive, too. I enjoyed chatting each day with Alvero at the front desk. He was so pleasant and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay feel magical.
