The fish was the freshest I’ve ever enjoyed, and the views and experiences were breathtaking. Eduardo made our time at Naviva simply divine. It’s a beautiful resort with the best service you’ll find, and I’m looking forward to staying again in this heaven on earth.

OH MY GOSH, yes, a thousand times over! My husband and I have usually stayed at the four seasons punta mita resort, and we’d never tried the Naviva. I’m so glad we did, because now we’re lifers here too. I read loads of reviews and wondered whether I’d feel the same afterward. I do, and I want to share it all, but I’ll try not to lose you. Food is usually hard for me to get excited about because I’m a picky eater and have allergies to fish, seafood, and wheat. Wheat has always limited what I can eat. The team handled all of it without a second thought, and the options were so good I got to try things I’d never had before. I didn’t know I could eat a breaded chicken sandwich, but they made it with corn breading and it was delicious. Every meal exceeded our expectations and taste buds. They had everything I wanted to drink, from wine to rum and tequila, and I couldn’t wait to see what was coming at each meal. The pastries were amazing too. I’ve never had sweets that delicious and not like cardboard. Thank you, Chef and team! A big shout-out to Dani, the amazing concierge, Charlie’ from food and beverage, Rosa the bartender, Ramon, Danielle, Dani, all the incredible chefs, Miguel the manager, and everyone else who made this such a one of a kind trip. The spa was a unique experience, with private rooms, unusual services, and personal rituals created for Naviva. You’re not sharing it with 10 or more of your closest friends, hahah. The rooms were amazing, with views everywhere, comfortable touches, and goodies from the team each day. We got things to take home, including sun hats and bags, which was so exciting. Room service came twice plus a day. The whole resort felt like our own private oasis. Wherever we went, people greeted us by name, even if we’d never met them. It felt like we had the place to ourselves, whether at the beach, spa, dining, or classes. Everything felt one on one and private. I could go on and on, but I don’t want to lose anyone reading this. Don’t think twice, book it, and be ready for a once in lifetime experience. Be ready to book a return, too. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you, team Naviva!

The days here felt wonderfully unhurried, with the ocean, jungle, hammocks, plunge pools and hot tubs all part of the experience. Our tent was spacious and peaceful, with an outdoor shower and thoughtful nightly touches like rose petals, champagne and a drawn bath. We also had engagement photos taken on the beach by a local photographer couple; their warmth and artistry made it feel special. We came to Naviva needing a reset after a difficult stay at another resort, and left feeling cared for and restored. The team made our trip: Eduardo, Charlie and Pollo were especially wonderful, and they even found a professional keyboard so my fiancé could play by the ocean. The service was attentive and personal without hovering. With just 15 tents tucked into the jungle above the water, the place feels private and quiet. Meals were cooked to order by the culinary team, especially Chef Dani, using local ingredients, including produce from the garden. We loved the ceviche, grilled fish, shrimp tacos, beachfront dinners, pastries and Thanksgiving feast. Massages in the jungle spa began with sage cleansing and guided meditation; we also tried agave and raicilla with expert distillers, took a boat to the Marietas Islands where dolphins swam alongside, and went snorkeling and explored a hidden beach. Naviva has a soulful, nature-centered kind of luxury, and the calm and connection felt real. We can’t recommend it enough. Worth every penny, and we hope to return again and again.

The people are what made leaving so hard. Eduardo, the GM, has brought together a team that treated us like family from arrival through goodbye. We’re especially grateful to "Pollo," our favorite mixologist, Paulo, Rosa, Jonathan and Danny. I actually teared up when we left. The place itself is intimate, pristine and secure. It felt as if we had the resort to ourselves much of the time, and the bungalows are beautiful, with lovely amenities and wide ocean views from every balcony. I felt at home right away, as did everyone with me. There’s no menu, but ordering was easy, and every meal we tried was delicious: fish tacos, lobster, carne asada, burgers, gyro, bao buns, fruit, salads and sushi. The spa pods are set in the jungle, so during a massage or facial you can hear the wildlife and ocean. I also had the two best yoga classes of my life. Thanks to Anna and Dani for letting the students shape the intention and focus of each practice. It really did feel like being welcomed to someone’s private adults-only family estate.

The views were stunning, and the secluded bungalows bring together the jungle, nature and beach beautifully. Everything felt high quality, from the rooms and food selection to the staff. Everyone was kind, respectful, enthusiastic and professional. I’ve traveled widely, and the location and impeccable service rank number one for me. Thanks to the Four Seasons Naviva team for a week I’ll remember forever.
