ONDA Surf Hotel

Hiromi, the manager, was really nice, and the place felt peaceful and secure. There’s a restaurant right next door, a grocery store on the street, and other restaurants and taco spots nearby. It’s also close to everything, and the pool is lovely for swimming. A good fit if you want an adventurous local experience.

Friendly staff and a nice spot, with great taco and coffee places nearby and just a short walk to the beach. They were constantly improving the hotel, with things like fresh paint. Hasta la próxima :))

The beds were really uncomfortable, and I could feel the springs. On the plus side, the staff were very nice, the pool was great and the towels were soft. There’s also a restaurant attached that serves breakfast and becomes a sushi place at night. Downtown, taco stands, the beach and other restaurants are all walkable. Our first room sat right over the restaurant, so the music was loud until it closed. It rained that night and water leaked through the floor. We moved to a quieter room the next day, around the corner. The AC in that room couldn’t cool it when it got too hot, which was frustrating when all we wanted was air conditioning.

A cute, funky place with nice rooms, good AC and hot water, plus pretty decent sound isolation. The pool was clean and attractive, and the outdoor lounge area was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. A larger guest fridge or freezer, an outdoor sink and a few basic utensils would have been useful.
