We've stayed here twice and really like both the service and the location. Since our last visit, breakfast has been added, which is a nice touch. The pool area is lovely, and the beach is just a short walk away. It's also on the quiet end of the street, and the price on our latest trip to Mexico was the most reasonable we found. The rooms are clean, but there isn't much lighting and the beds are hard. Those are our only complaints.

Casa Margarita Hotel looks attractive from outside and in the shared areas, and it's in a good spot, only a few blocks from the beach. The street is busy with shops, restaurants, and taco stands, but felt safe. Our room had three full-size beds, all hard and noisy. The small fridge was there, but the air conditioner froze up, made ice, dripped, and then crackled like it was breaking. We had a balcony, but the bathroom was stuffy and smelled moldy and sewer-like. Water sprayed from the showerhead neck instead of the outlet, so we had to ask for a repair. The sink kept dripping and clogging. The bathroom smell got worse over the days and made us nauseous. We asked for another room, but none were available, and other hotels were booked, so we stayed. They cleaned and put something down the drains, which helped for a while, but the smell came back. Housekeeping wasn't good. They made the beds and took out the trash, but didn't sweep or mop. Two of us also got bites on our legs, though I don't know what caused them. If you need a big room with three beds and decide to stay, check that the bathroom is well ventilated.

Our room was nice and had all the amenities, but the Wi-Fi reception was weak. The $700 room fee included breakfast for two. There was a large pool next to the restaurant, though breakfast itself wasn't very good because it was too salty.

The price was fair and breakfast was included, which isn't something many places offer. We were treated respectfully, and the beach, convenience stores, and a few restaurants were all nearby. There are two pools, including an indoor pool and one for little kids. It's not fancy, but it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed my stay, had no real complaints, and would stay here again if I visit. Give the place a chance.

Breakfast was good, but there weren't enough staff to keep the place clean, and the rooms were missing basic essentials.
