The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Still, the costs really put a damper on the stay. We paid $ 6,900 per night even though the internet rate is lower, and the food was expensive for such small portions. They even charge for a babysitter if you want to use the spa. I paid $ 2,900 for a mediocre massage, and spa services in general are very expensive.

The food was a big part of what I loved here. The head chef knows what she's doing, and most of the ingredients seem to come from nearby, with a farm-to-table feel. The bartenders have serious skills, and the restaurant Captain was especially cheerful, knowledgeable, and full of suggestions. The peaceful landscape, tasteful rooms and decor, and AMAZING spa made the whole place feel like heaven. I love this place!

The pool water is always cold, and the restaurant is expensive for food that isn't anything special. The service is good, but the prices feel excessive for the facilities, and every experience comes with an extra charge. If you're planning a weekend getaway at that price, San Miguel de Allende is worth considering. It has better hotels with more amenities.
