Hotel Artesanos

The hotel looked nice from the reception, but I never got to see my room. I called on July 15th to reserve, then arrived to find they had no reservation for me. The receptionist said the card machine wasn't working. It seemed like she didn't know how to use it, especially when she wondered aloud if she'd done something wrong. I left.

My wife and I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place. The staff were okay and tried to sort things out, but the owners, especially the manager, were rude and didn't care about our complaints. They quoted one price online and charged more when we arrived, advertised breakfast as included and then took it away, and called a dirty, run-down storage area parking. With no parking, I left the car out front; traffic police ticketed me and took my license plate. They advertise things they don't have. A very bad experience.

The place is quiet, away from the city center noise, and good for relaxing. It's clean, the staff are attentive, and the prices seem fair. The hot water did take a while to come through, which wasted quite a bit of water.

I had room 10 on the first floor, and there was very little street noise. The room was spacious, with air conditioning, and even the single room I requested seemed big enough for two. The hotel was clean, including the hallways. I didn't eat there. It's quite dark inside because sunlight barely gets through the windows, so set an alarm or you'll wake up in the dark. The one big letdown was the shower, which never had hot water. Still, it was a comfortable stay and I'd come back.
