One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos

We came in August for my boyfriend’s birthday and had such a good time. The views are amazing, and the spa is beautiful and has every amenity you can think of. I especially liked the adults-only pool for lounging, plus it has a swim-up bar. The staff were warm and attentive, and our assigned host was there to help with whatever we needed. I let him know about the birthday, and he surprised my boyfriend with a card and dessert in our room. Such a lovely touch.

The way my wedding inquiry was handled felt unprofessional and disappointing. At first the team responded and seemed interested, but communication stopped as soon as I explained that the event would be intimate, with no more than 15 guests. I later spoke by phone with José Pineda, who promised to send a wedding proposal for me to review. I never heard from him again and received no follow-up or explanation. Given my earlier good experiences with One&Only Palmilla, the lack of follow-through was especially disappointing. It’s a beautiful setting with a good guest experience, but wedding inquiries, particularly for smaller events, deserve more professionalism and consistency. I’ve visited with my family in previous years and always found the property beautiful and the atmosphere pleasant. The stays have been enjoyable, and the food quality is very good, in keeping with the brand’s reputation.

I’ve never felt so comfortable. Our room had two bathrooms: a shower and floating tub in the king bedroom, a separate toilet closet, and another half bath. The patio was huge, with two ceiling fans, two sliding glass doors from different rooms, a full couch, and two chairs. The food is great. If you like spinach at breakfast, you MUST try the 60 degree eggs. My tip: ask for sourdough toast on the side. My husband also wants me to mention the Taco de Chile Guero and fried calamares at the Cevicheria at La Fiesta for a light lunch. We may have eaten those twice in one week of endless options. For a bit of weirdness, Fiesta Americana is a one-minute golf cart ride away. There’s only one adults-only swim-up bar, but we found great conversation and company there. We stayed away from the kid-friendly pools, that’s just us. If you want serenity, you can also just stay on the Live Aqua property that day.

Dinner at Hoshi was one of the top three meals I’ve ever had. The sushi chef was amazing, and both the bar staff and the rest of the team were so friendly. Such a great night.
