Casa 1810 Centro Hotel Boutique

We spent Christmas here, with two rooms for four nights, and the little extras made it feel special. There was a welcome drink, cookies each evening with turn-down service, and even a Christmas gift. The service was warm and hard to beat. Dinner on Christmas Eve at the Casa 1810 rooftop was memorable, with a great view, interesting cocktails, wonderful short ribs and excellent service. We loved the whole stay.

The team made our stay safe and memorable. Christopher at concierge was incredibly efficient and knowledgeable, and Vienna at the restaurant was just delightful. The food at the hotel was fantastic too. No surprise they have a Michelin Key!

The location beside the historic center is excellent, and the staff were gracious and helpful at any hour. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, especially with Diana, who was such a thoughtful, attentive waitress. The stay was comfortable, though I found the hotel a bit overpriced for what it offers. When we were there, rates were in the $400s per night, while it felt more like a $300 range hotel. There just aren't enough amenities to justify the higher price on location alone, with so many hotels nearby. A few things could be better. The room doors are see-through, and although there are curtains you can close while inside, people can see into the room when you're away. I also chose a hotel with a pool when comparing places through Chase Sapphire, but the hotel has more of a tub, not a pool, and shouldn't be listed that way. The cleaning product smell was too perfumed for me, though I'm not sure if they can change it. Finally, we heard noise from next door at about 5:30 AM. The hotel may not be able to control that, but it's something to consider when booking downtown.

Our suite on the third floor was roomy and comfortable, and the rooftop bar had lovely views. This boutique hotel is close to everything in SanMiguel de Allende. Service was warm and attentive, and Diana was fabulous at breakfast every day. We'd definitely come back.
