El Mesón del Quijote

The room was wonderful, and I’d highly recommend staying here for the comfort and hospitality. The owners are incredibly polite and clearly care about making a stay memorable. When I took an Uber from a tourist spot to pick up my luggage before going to the bus station, the driver canceled the second part of the trip and drove away with my backpack after I got my bags. The girl at the front desk acted quickly, helped negotiate its return, and made sure I got it back. I’m very grateful for her kindness and quick thinking.

Oscar made us feel at home right away. Our room had large windows, fans, and a great shower, and it was excellent value. The hotel is high up on the San Miguel hillside, but the rooftop patio views make it worth it. Nights are quiet, and waking to a lovely sunrise and a rooster was a pleasure. It’s only a quick 5-10 min Uber into town. Thanks, Oscar, for a great stay at El Meson del Quijote!

We came to town for a wedding and occupied most of the rooms. Oscar and his staff were kind and gracious, and did all they could to make our stay pleasant. The whole experience was lovely. If we get the chance to return to San Miguel de Allende, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Oscar was so helpful and lovely from the moment I arrived until I left. My room was huge, comfortable, and furnished in a vintage style, with stunning views of San Miguel de Allende. The hotel is beautiful, with so much attention to detail, and it exceeded my already high expectations. It’s a short walk down the hill to the town center. I found the walk back up easy, though buses and taxis are available.
