The welcome and housekeeping were impeccable, and we slept really comfortably in the beds. This is a sweet hotel, and we had a wonderful stay. Since it’s in Centro, you may hear cars on the cobblestones at night, but that’s part of the charm. We’d come back.

The room was dark and old, with a horrible bathroom and a hard bed. The portable AC didn’t work well, and it was noisy. We booked two nights but only stayed one.

The rooms are spacious and well kept, with good quality beds and furniture. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor, and the rooms have Wi-Fi and AC. Parking is on the street. The building has a cool, understated colonial-era style. It isn’t especially cheap, mostly because it’s so close to the town square and other places in San Miguel.

The location is great, close to the heart of San Miguel. We could walk around for food and drinks and felt safe doing it. The building looks cool, but the beds feel like plywood, and the thin curtains let in noise and light. There’s no AC. Nights are fresh, but when we opened a window we could hear businesses getting started in the morning and loud vehicles passing. I wish I’d looked into an air B&B.
