The construction noise has been incredibly loud all week, with banging and work going on constantly. The owner told me it would stop after the first day, but it didn’t. After they moved me to another room, I found there was no hot water. Most rooms have no heat either, so they’re freezing. The front desk attendant is very kind, but doesn’t speak English and disappears for hours when you need help. There seems to be no management at all, and the owner has no hospitality experience.

The rooms are on the small side, but there are some nice places to hang out on site. The location is great, and the staff are friendly. Amenities are pretty basic, which seems about right for the price.

The location is great, and check-in and checkout were easy. It was clean, too. Parking isn’t on site, so expect to carry your luggage about a block and a half. Given where you’re staying, it’s not a big deal.

At Hotel Urbano, there was no sign outside identifying it, no full-time staff, and sometimes no staff at all. Nobody cleaned the room or even picked up the previous guests’ dirty clothes from the floor, and the sheets weren’t changed.
