Hotel Villa Santa Blanca

The location was good, but check-in was a letdown. They said my reservation wasn’t in their database, and suggested I try another hotel. I couldn’t trust them after that, so I spent three hours looking for another place ⏳😮‍💨. It’s unbelievable that Expedia keeps showing rooms as available when they apparently aren’t. I hope they check their records regularly and keep them up to date.

The location is perfect, just around the corner from the parish church. My room had a nice design and the basics for a comfortable stay, but it was behind the restaurant, so there was noise and activity from early morning. The sofa bed for the third person was very dirty, and there were no sheets or blankets for it. Luckily, the weather was warm. There was no hand soap, and the shampoo and body wash could be better, perhaps local artisanal products or higher-quality commercial brands.

I booked through the hotel in April and paid the required deposit, but work commitments meant I couldn’t take the vacation. I asked for a refund a few days later. Two months have passed, and they still haven’t answered my emails. When we call, they make excuses, including saying the receptionist who handled it resigned and that the hotel suggested we deal with him. They also told me to wait until the end of the month for the invoice. I don’t recommend them. The service is poor, and they haven’t kept their promises.

It’s family-friendly and accepts pets, with fees that vary by size. But the hotel is disorganized, with no reservation system. They quote one rate, then add 18% in taxes if you ask for an invoice. There are lots of cockroaches in the rooms and common areas, and the rooms are very rustic, with poorly adapted bathrooms. There’s no parking; they recommend a lot a block away that supposedly has an agreement with the hotel, for $200.00 a day.
