El Cid La Ceiba Beach All Inclusive

The service at El Cid La Cieba was outstanding, and we had a great time. Ari sorted out everything we needed, from taxis, towels, and chairs to dinner reservations. She really went above and beyond. Roger put on lots of fun activities, and Armando was always helpful when Ari wasn’t around. I can’t praise the resort’s service highly enough. We went diving with Dimi Scuba Adventures, which is affiliated with the hotel but isn’t run through it. Diana at Dimi was great, and Margo, our dive master, was fantastic. We’ll definitely come back and recommend them to friends.

The all-inclusive package made the trip easy, and the food was decent, though dessert could use work. There wasn’t anything chocolate. We also had an AC problem in our room, but four people got right on it and had it fixed in 20 minutes. The hotel team, Ari, Armando, Roger and Daniel, looked after us really well. Mar from Dimi dive shop was a fantastic instructor, Diana arranged the dives so well, and Francisco did a great job as our dive valet. I’d recommend them. Great value for the price.

The resort is small, quiet and laid back, with as much or as little to do as you want. This was our first time in Mexico, and we loved Cozumel. For a last-minute vacation, I thought it was great value. Daniel was a fun afternoon bartender, and Armani, Ari and Anthony were all friendly and helpful. We’d definitely come back.

I spent a week here while getting my dive certification through Blue Note Scuba, which I reviewed separately. The hotel is dated, though renovations are about to start. I had no problems, and the customer service was phenomenal. The bed was fine, and the all-inclusive food was pretty tasty. It’s a short walk to the marina, and I thought the price was good value. I’ll look at booking again next year.
