Really nice place! We were on the fourth floor, which meant a lot of stairs, but that was the only room with a terrace.

The views were great, the prices decent, and the staff very friendly. Apart from the pool issue, we had a nice stay. But the water looked a little green, with unpleasant things floating in it, and you could barely see the bottom. The online photos show a much clearer pool. The day after we swam, I got a urinary infection, saw a doctor, and spent the last two days in bed in pain. I can’t say the pool caused it, but the condition of the water was disappointing. I’d only recommend staying if you confirm they’ve cleaned the pool before your visit. The property told us we were only its third guests, so I’m guessing that’s why pool cleaning wasn’t a priority. Still, it was a letdown. After I finally got approval for a 50% refund, the property took a week and a half to send the money, even though the problem was its fault.

I felt bad mentioning how hard the bed was, because the property is beautiful and the customer service is phenomenal. When I updated my review, I wanted to say that the lady at the counter had gotten us a mattress pad. What a thoughtful response. The staff were already so kind, helpful and accommodating, and they went above and beyond for us.

We like walking, and the distance into town felt just right after a big meal. From the panoramic view rooms, the vistas are great, and the ocean-side pool and snorkeling access are convenient. A few things could be better: the coffee pot is tiny, maybe enough for two small cups, the water pressure is just a trickle, which seems common in the area, and the kitchen is only minimally equipped. Calling it well equipped is a stretch.
