The hotel sits where two major highways cross, so there’s a lot of noise from the heavy trucks.

The staff were friendly, and everything was clean, but the room was extremely small. It had just two bottles of water and a bottle of shower gel, with no soap for showering, which seems really strange and is a shame. I can’t remember the exact room rate, but I paid 1000 pesos for two rooms, one for three people and one for two. There was another 1000 pesos charged for paying by credit card, the first time I’ve ever had a hotel charge me that fee. I was there because of a family emergency, and I’m not sure I’d choose to stay there for any other reason.

The biggest concern was getting the same room twice and finding bedbugs in its bed both times. That only happened in that room, never in the others, and I hope they’ve taken care of it. I also tried to book after 11 PM on three occasions and was turned away because it was supposedly too late. I’ve stayed here several times, and the hotel is generally fine. The rooms look nice and the decor is acceptable, though close inspection shows imperfections. Parking isn’t directly connected to the hotel, so if you need something from your car, you have to walk around the corner.

The window shook whenever trucks went by, and the hotel was noisy in general. One night I shut the bathroom door to block some sound, then couldn’t get it open again. They said I’d have to pay for the repair or leave the room in the middle of the night. It was impossible to discuss it with them, and when I couldn’t understand Spanish, the guy accused me of pretending not to understand. Be careful that nothing in the room is broken or faulty, or they may make you pay. It feels like another case of foreign tourists being treated like dairy cows. The room was clean and the cleaning staff were friendly, which is why I gave it two stars. The pricing was a mess: the first receptionist said rooms cost more on Saturdays, but after I returned from another hotel that was full, the second said the rate was the same every day and 20% higher if you paid by card. Avoid it completely. There are other places in town that aren’t on Google and seem friendlier and more honest.
