After more than twenty years away, I was surprised by how much Queretaro had grown, with modern suburbs around it. For a visit focused on the old colonial atmosphere, this is a good, affordable place to stay. It’s traditional rather than luxurious, and the location is excellent for someone new to the city. The staff were great, especially Mr. Marco the concierge, who was always helpful with suggestions for nearby places.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel’s cute façade and reception area make a nice first impression. It’s central, so getting around is easy. But our two-night stay in the Comprension room was disappointing for the price, especially compared with other places nearby. The room was dark and cold, with a small window partly blocked by a large TV. We had to cover the emergency light and the light on the TV box with a scarf because they faced the bed. To reach the electrical plugs, we had to pull out the bedside tables. We asked to change rooms, but the only other one available came with an upgrade fee. We were also told guests in that “better room” had complained about street noise because its window faced a busy road. There’s a cute garden, but nowhere to sit in it. The breakfast room feels unwelcoming, and breakfast is very basic.

A large colonial house turned into a hotel, with beautiful design and kind, friendly staff. Everywhere was clean whenever I saw it. They keep umbrellas by the entrance for guests to borrow since it can start raining at any time. The location makes it easy to walk around the city center.

In a pleasant historic part of town, this is a nicely restored, boutique-style hotel. It was very quiet during my stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My one real gripe was the Wi-Fi: it was available, but the signal in my room was weak and access kept cutting out. These days, reliable internet matters a lot to me at any hotel.

Well placed for walking anywhere in the historic city. The place was clean and comfortable, and the front desk managers speak English. The service was excellent. I’ll definitely come back.
