Fiesta Inn Queretaro

Once we finally got checked in, the stay was pleasant. Our Pomeranian was with us after a visit to her breeder's kennel, and we didn’t want to leave her in the car overnight. I’d booked a “dog friendly” loft/suite, but that hadn’t registered at check-in, so we had to rebook through Booking. The replacement was a twin suite near the door to the pool yard. We’d waited a long time for the room, and the manager kindly waived the pet fee. The grounds around the pool and even the parking area were really nice, though we didn’t swim. The room and building weren’t in perfect repair, with some gaps in the laminate flooring, but everything was clean and orderly. A very helpful bellhop handled our luggage, and the computer area came in handy. We ate breakfast at the nearby IHOP, so I can’t comment on the restaurant. If you don’t know the area, you’ll need a navigator to figure out the one-way access and U-turns for getting back to the freeway.

The greenery around the pool is lovely, but leaves ended up in the water and it wasn’t skimmed often enough. They also limited us to 600 ml of drinking water a day. For a hotel in this price range, the towels were disappointing too. I’ve had better ones at places that cost a third as much.

The food was the main thing I wasn’t keen on. As a vegetarian, I found it hard to find options, and the prices seemed a little high, though I know choosing to be vegetarian is my decision. The employees were polite and kind. The room was clean and nice, and the pool temperature was comfortable.

Breakfast was quite good, and I liked the pool as well. The rooms are modern and pretty nice, with a microwave and refrigerator depending on the room you choose. The beds are comfortable, although the shower is a bit small. I’d definitely stay again.
