The people here really made us feel at home. Max and Kenia were especially wonderful, and every other employee we met was helpful and fun too. I only speak English so far, and the bilingual staff made things easy for me. We all left hoping to come back, and I’d recommend Hotel Madero to anyone considering it. We stayed for the 2025 Independence Day holiday, when getting into town was hectic. The staff met us, parked the car, and took our luggage, which was such a kind welcome. Call when you’re close, and they’ll guide you through the arrival. The location was excellent, and our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

The restored building is beautiful, and the simple room was comfortable and felt very clean. There was plenty of drinking water to refill our bottles, and the staff I met were all kind. One man at the front desk gave us great suggestions for a fun hop-on hop-off bus and a fabulous dinner spot. It was an easy base for popping in and out while exploring the center. I also loved dancing around the corner at Zenea Garden on Sunday night. A great place to stay while seeing this beautiful city.

The room was cozy, dark, and much quieter than expected. Even the loud noise outside the motel on Sunday night didn’t come through. The shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, and drinking water was easy to get just outside the rooms. WiFi was fast and reliable. Reception was pleasant and fun to chat with. We really enjoyed staying here and will come back whenever we’re in Centro.

Our room was modern, spotless, and beautifully furnished, and Hotel Maduro has been our favorite stop on this trip through El Bajia. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and gave us detailed directions for day trips, which was a real help since I haven’t used my high school Spanish in 50 years. We’d definitely stay here again.
