We had fully paid in advance for two rooms and confirmed we could check in as late as 11 PM. But when we arrived around 9:30 PM, there were no rooms available. The service was terrible.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the bathroom leaked, and there were no towels. The king-size room has no windows, and they said the internet wasn’t working. Staff spent their time watching videos. They also couldn’t give us a room key because they said it was “lost” and they were waiting for a replacement, so we had to “trust” that nobody would take anything while the room was left unlocked. Don’t come here, the service was terrible.

We won’t stay here again. The rooms are advertised with Wi-Fi and TV, but there was no internet and the TV antenna cable was broken. When we raised it with the staff, they rudely said the internet either works or it doesn’t and wasn’t their problem. They even said we were lucky the hotel hadn’t lost power yet. Terrible service.

We should have canceled as soon as the problems started, but figured we’d only be sleeping there while we spent the days sightseeing. That was a fatal choice. On day two the power went out again, and they told us, with total cynicism, it wouldn’t come back that night. We left and ended up camping without being prepared for it. From the first day, the power was out, our phones died, and there was no working TV or internet. They didn’t honor our breakfast, and there were no amenities or towels. The refrigerator looked like it had come from the trash, and the dining table was covered in mold. Terrible experience, not recommended at all. They’ve lost guests who would definitely return to Tamasopo because it’s such a beautiful place. Thanks for your attention!
