Hotel Tamazunchale

The place looks striking from outside, with bright pink stucco that somehow works. Inside, the rooms, bathrooms, and the rest of the hotel were impressively clean. It's a three-story, open-air building with ceramic tile everywhere, in the typical high-in-Mexico style. There are seating areas outdoors, inside, on balconies, and in shared lounge spaces. Staff showed professional courtesy, and at about US$35 a night, the price felt very reasonable for what you get. I'm writing this with Mexico in mind, since properties here differ from those in the States. This is a high-quality standard for a hotel in Mexico. It felt very safe, with security doors inside and out, and Americans should feel comfortable here.
