Hotel Azul Esmeralda

So peaceful, with nature all around. The staff were the best part, and the open bar at night was great too.

My family and I would definitely recommend this place. The hotel is being remodeled with several new partners, and it has improved a lot. What stood out most was how attentive and helpful the staff were. Tomas, the chef, deserves a special mention. He’s a remarkable young guy, full of energy and with a great attitude. Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed it.

Good food, a great atmosphere, and tasty ice cream too. The river is low. This is somewhere I’d recommend to my family.

The staff are very friendly and do what they can with the resources available. They suggested a nearby dinner place that delivers, and the food was good. The restaurant has a lovely river view, and two rooms have balconies looking out over the river and the surrounding area. The food was tasty and nicely presented, though the food and drink menu is limited. There’s nowhere close by to buy drinks, and the restaurant closes at 6 pm, so plan ahead. There’s good infrastructure here, but I think it’s being neglected and there’s plenty to improve. The pool was closed this past weekend, which took away from our visit. Service in general needs work, and staff would benefit from training, even though they’re friendly. There were cobwebs everywhere, the gardens were neglected, and they could make better use of the space.
