There’s a wading pool, a swimming pool, and parking. The rooms are budget-friendly even in peak season, but they’re basic. The hotel is at the entrance to town. IMPORTANT: They don’t take credit cards, and that’s generally true throughout Tecolutla.

The next day they also tried to charge us more, saying they’d made a pricing mistake. The air conditioning didn’t work, so I wouldn’t recommend paying for a room with it here. We couldn’t check it when we arrived because they only turn it on at 7 PM. After we reported the problem the next day, they said it wasn’t a refrigerator, which we already knew, but even when they switched it on, no air came out. I’d look for another place.

The owners or managers treated us badly. They said there was Wi-Fi but never came up with a solution, and they didn’t clear the clogged bathroom drain either. Instead, they handed us a pump and left us to unclog it ourselves. There’s a speaker, but they keep turning it down when they walk by and won’t let you play it at a moderate volume.

They advertise one service and then overcharge you. The reception staff are awful, the air conditioning doesn’t work, and the advertising is misleading. They blame you for their mistakes and say that if you noticed the error, they’ll charge you for it because you didn’t mention it when you left. Terrible place.
