Hotel La Querencia

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was spotless. The outdoor pool isn't heated, and the indoor one was being renovated. We came hoping to spend the afternoon swimming, so I was really disappointed they hadn't told us about the renovation when we booked. With the weather and no pool heating, we couldn't enjoy it.

We found the place lovely, and the rooms were very clean. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. It also welcomes pets, and having Cleo the cat around was a treat. Highly recommended, especially for being close to the city center.

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, and there are two pools, one indoors and one outdoors. We also appreciated being able to bring in water, food, or snacks without feeling watched. The restaurant serves really high-quality food. Don't miss the marinated pork shank or the octopus, both were fantastic! Our rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel has been completely renovated. Every staff member was so warm, kind, and helpful. They had everything we needed for a wonderful stay, and we loved it all. Thanks so much, and we hope to be back soon. Keep it up!

The green spaces were a real highlight, a 10 out of 10. The pools were fine too, though the outdoor one was quite cold. The indoor pool took a while to warm up in the mornings, but reached a pleasant temperature by morning. I can't speak to the bar or terrace since neither was open during our stay. Food was tasty and well-seasoned, but the choices were limited. Room service was extremely slow, which I understand may be because they were short-staffed. They need to put more into that. We went in peak season, and there weren't enough staff to keep up overall. The service could improve, even though the show was clearly getting investment. It started late, but was a good experience, especially as we were lucky enough to see the tribute to the great Fernández family. Hotel La Querencia is a good place to relax. It had recently been renovated and looked very nice, but accessibility still needs work. The facilities are there, but aren't designed well for people with disabilities. I was with someone using a walker, and they had a lot of trouble getting around.
