Hotel Revolución

The lobby is the only part that looks nice. My room was old and ugly, the sheets looked stained, and the TV didn't work. The receptionist was rude and acted as if I wasn't booked when I came back to my room. You have to request room service at the lobby, too. I booked through hotels.com, and the place definitely didn't look like the pictures. I left early because I felt uncomfortable. There are no refunds once you arrive, so don't let the hotels.com page fool you.

Don't waste your money here. My room had so many problems that it wasn't even worth listing them all to staff. Check my photos and judge for yourself. There was no AC, and there were no screens to keep mosquitoes out at night or on the shower window. The shower area had lots of mold, and the badly installed shower pan let water rise above my toes. The TV didn't work. The only floor outlet was loose and pulling out of the wall. The bed sheets had been used, the toilet paper holder was broken, and the outside of the door had no molding.

The room was very uncomfortable and cold, with no heating tool available, and the Wi-Fi was down for most of my stay. I moved to another hotel 250 meters away, where the same price got me all the essential services for a comfortable stay.

This place is now called Hotel Revolución. I should have followed my own advice and read the reviews rated three stars and under. They're pretty accurate. Find somewhere else. The location is right on Revolucion, which is a pro. But the first night I was too cold to sleep well because there was no AC or heater. The bathroom and the space between the mattress and box were dirty, and some furniture was missing. The shower temperature was hard to control, either boiling hot or cold. Music went on nonstop, day and night, and the staff and other guests were noisy. We also had ROACHES in our bathroom.
