We ended up here on a whim after our Merida hotel canceled our reservation at the last minute, and it worked out great. The grounds are gorgeous, and we enjoyed a swim, dinner, and breakfast. There’s an interesting contrast between the Spanish colonial architecture and the Mayan houses. We had a really nice stay and would absolutely recommend it. We’ll check out the nearby Ake ruins on our way out.

The toilet area in our otherwise very nice room had no privacy, which was the only downside. The place is attractive and well kept, and the swimming pool is especially beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast there, and the food was good. We also asked to have laundry done; it was ready the next morning, though it hadn’t been ironed.

We booked one night in a Mayan hut and ended up staying for two. We would’ve stayed longer, but had a flight to catch. The bed was very comfortable, and both the ceiling fan and air-con worked really well. Wi-Fi was very good for such a remote hotel. We ate at the hotel too. The food was good and very reasonably priced. A truly lovely short stay, thank you.

The owner and staff were so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay even better. Hacienda Ticum has a relaxed atmosphere, and we had a great stay. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Yucatan.
