Hotel La Calenda

The buffet downstairs is tasty and a great deal, and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant, too. The rooms aren't fancy, but they do the job, with a TV, hot water, and a fan.

The staff were great and the service was excellent. Everything was very clean, and the buffet was high quality. I'd recommend it 100%.

Those tacos al pastor a few meters ahead on the right are really tasty and reasonably priced if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Don't let the location or facade fool you, though. The rooms are tiny, the beds are in bad shape, and the bathroom is cramped with no direct ventilation. The internet is terrible, there's just one electrical outlet, and the towels feel like sandpaper and don't dry you off. Parking is good and fairly spacious. Service is generally good, but they're short-staffed. The four little bars of soap they provide are handy.

The people who checked us in were really friendly, and the price was cheap for a hotel in the city center. Hot water also came on quickly. But the room we got for two people for one night was small, with a dirty mattress. I suspect they might not change the sheets, and the pillows seemed like they could be stuffed with old clothes. The bathroom was so cramped that one person could barely fit. I don't know if they have better rooms, but I definitely wouldn't stay there again.
