The hotel taxi service took us to the Teotihuacán pyramids, where Juan Ramírez gave us a great tour. We hired him several more times for other trips, and his service was great. We also enjoyed talking with Daniel Ceballos Guemez, who was friendly and respectful, welcomed us whenever he saw us in the lobby, and gave us helpful ideas for future trips in Mexico City. My husband and I have stayed at hotel Kristal Maria Barbara four times, including a recent ten-night stay from March 28Th to April 7Th. We enjoyed this visit just as we did the previous three. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and breakfast has a generous range of fresh Mexican dishes made on site that morning. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and do their jobs well.

Our family would happily make this a yearly stop. Amazing hotel, 100% recommended. Thanks, team!

The towels were very old. I dropped something and saw how dirty it was under the beds. The rooms weren't clean underneath.

Housekeeping did a thorough, good job, but otherwise nobody seemed to care. We stayed five nights in May 2025 and were very disappointed. The breakfast was the same every day: bad coffee, hard bland sweet bread, dried-out potato wedges and scrambled eggs. Basic plates, mugs and spoons were often gone. The pool water was cloudy and very dirty, and the hot tub didn't work. It was empty for our first three days, then half filled with cold water, with no heat turned on. Our room's AC broke on night two. We were eventually moved, but the replacement room had no coffee maker or mini fridge. We were told those are available only on request, though there aren't enough for every room. We would avoid this hotel in the future.

You can get more for less elsewhere. My room wasn't bad, but the bathroom door wasn't proper, which was uncomfortable, and hot water took ages to arrive. The coffee machine in my room was broken, and with no kettle I couldn't make my own coffee. There's a Starbucks in the lobby, luckily, but nobody was there to serve. Not a bad hotel, just not worth the price.
