My brother and I spent 10 days here for a volleyball tournament. The roof restaurant was great, with a big patio looking out over the city and mountains. We also liked the friendly staff and how clean and safe the hotel felt. There's an attendant in the hallway to the rooms around the clock. It's inexpensive and not fancy, but excellent value. Right downtown in beautiful Tlaxcala, it's a minute's walk to the cathedral and a couple more minutes to the town square.

The people were wonderful, and our room was very clean. It's centrally located and reasonably priced, with free parking, which other places charge about $1 an hour for. There's also a terrace and restaurant. We loved our stay.

The restaurant was rarely open and never served breakfast, which was my one disappointment. I did find a place across the street, tucked into a small alley, where the owners make excellent breakfasts at very reasonable prices. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, with spacious rooms, hot water, and good internet. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's well placed downtown, with everything in walking distance, and the city feels quite safe.
