Desierto Azul

Sustainability matters a lot to me, and Desierto Azul shared those values completely. What their website says about the hotel matched our experience. My husband, our toddler, and I stayed in October, and the hospitality was outstanding. They thought of every detail, and this is somewhere I plan to return to again and again. The room, Damiana, was tastefully and minimally decorated, with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and having potable water was such a nice touch. I also loved the separate baskets for the towels, one for Turkish pool towels and another for bath towels. The simple design of the grounds blends the buildings beautifully with the desert. They put a pail outside our room for our toddler’s diapers, a small but thoughtful touch we haven’t found at other hotels. They also provided a pack 'n' play, which was a huge relief. Candles along the garden paths each night made a lovely ambiance. Breakfast was filling and good, and they always gave our toddler extra avocado. My husband surprised me with a cake from their bakery, and it was outstanding. The bar drinks were crisp, refreshing, and delicious.

PanVero bakery right next door was a treat, with coffee and treats, and the staff gave us stellar suggestions for where to go. We loved the stay and would absolutely choose Desierto Azul again. There are only 4 rooms, so it felt quiet and welcoming, with a remarkable level of service from everyone. Even with other guests staying there, it still felt private, and a couple of times we had the saltwater pool to ourselves. We were greeted warmly with delicious drinks by the pool, and had nourishing breakfasts each morning, including gluten and dairy free options. I’d highly recommend it.

We were only there for two nights, but the beach was just a couple of minutes away and the breakfast was delicious. The decor and design are beautiful, and the staff were so friendly. You can tell a lot of thought and love went into all the little details. What a gem in Todos Santos!

The salt water pool was a favorite, and we were impressed by how seriously they take sustainability. The tap water is drinkable, and the delicious breakfast is included in the stay. Our room was quiet and peaceful. In the mornings, Martha made the most delicious avocado toast and kept it sparkling clean, while Manuel shared loads of tips for enjoying the area. Jose, the manager, is clearly doing a great job. We spent a week here in February. It’s a 10 minute drive to town and a 10 minute walk to the beach, where we saw whales frolicking every day. The Green Room is also a 10 minute drive away, great for sunset cocktails and bites.
