It took about 15 minutes to find the Pool through a maze of corridors, even after I asked the receptionist for directions. There was no signage for the Gym or Pool, and the Pool was closed. The shower took 10 minutes to warm up, then gave only one small spray of water. Drinks at the bar are massively overpriced. The hotel is in an industrial zone with awful air quality, and the dim lighting throughout makes the place feel grim and depressing. Check-in staff were grumpy, and it feels obvious they're saving money on lighting. The corporate video on the TV is a million miles from what the hotel is actually like. This is a 1 star hotel. Avoid it.

The bed was really comfortable, and for once in a long time in a hotel, the thermostat actually worked and kept the room at a nice temperature. Staff were very friendly too. The nearby side roads are rough and full of potholes, though the main roads were okay.

Parking across the street every night meant walking back over a bridge, which was inconvenient. The room was spacious, but without a refrigerator it didn't work well for my long stay. Breakfast was horrible, tasted like it came from a can, and didn't seem freshly cooked. The whole menu needs a revamp. Staff were friendly and customer service was decent overall. The hotel has potential, but I probably wouldn't stay again.

The menu feels a little limited to me, though there are still good choices. Some guests also make too much noise, and some let their kids ignore the hotel rules. The location works well for my business needs, and downtown is about 20 minutes away. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's AC. The counter staff are always kind and informative. It's a good fit for both work and vacation, and I'd give it 5 stars.
