Hotel Casa Hidalgo

It looks nice from the outside, but the rooms are terrible. The ceilings are damp, the sink leaks, and the mattresses still have the plastic wrapping they came in. The pillows and sheets feel awful and very cheap. There aren’t even basic room amenities like clean towels, water, or soap. This definitely isn’t somewhere to relax or feel comfortable. The women working there shout to each other from very early in the morning, so you can hear everything. There was also a child with them who kept screaming and running around the hotel.

The parking lot is too small, and they get angry if you go out at night. I was there when another guest complained and they spoke to her terribly, using foul language. The reception staff are rude and the service is awful. It’s filthy, with no toilet paper or towels. They also charge 500 pesos for smoking in the room even though you haven’t signed the hotel policies. They have signs, but there’s no water, soft drinks, or anything to offer. A hotel should provide trust, comfort, and courtesy, and I wouldn’t recommend this one. I should have checked why it’s called a boutique hotel, because it has absolutely nothing.

A clean, suitable place to get some rest.
