We picked this place because it was a short drive from Cancun airport and still close enough to visit Tulum, so the location worked well for the trip we had planned. The private cenote on the grounds is pretty, and the gardens and forest around the tents and cabins are well looked after. The place is simple and a bit rough around the edges, with nothing especially “glam” about it despite the name. Hot water in the shower wasn’t reliable. I also wish they’d offered to help with our luggage. We really needed a hand carrying our one heavy suitcase many meters through the forest to one of the last cabins.

We spent the day on the four-hour tour of the site and animal rescue center. It was well worth it, though I can’t speak to the rooms since I didn’t stay here. It began with an interpretive walk from the glamping site, ending at a beautiful open-air Cenote where little fish nibbled at our feet. After a 20-minute ride, we reached the rescue center to see and learn about the animals, birds, and stingless jungle bees. The day ended with a swim in an underground Cenote. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

We planned to stay for 3 nights but left after the first one. The experience fell short of what we expected for $120 per night, and the Booking.com photos didn’t match what we found. The towels had visible stains, the room’s AC was very weak and seemed capped at 30°C, so it felt more like a fan. Yoga was part of what was advertised, but we didn’t see any taking place, and the restaurant on site was underwhelming. During the day the place felt oddly quiet and empty, while music at night was unexpectedly loud and jarring. The bikes were available and in okay condition, but you really need a car or scooter to get around. Without one, food and drink choices are very limited. The cenote down the road was lovely, though, about a 5-minute cycle and well worth the 200 pesos per person.

I loved staying here. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with two cenote, a great room and bathroom, and wonderfully friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We didn’t stay at the camping, but we took the rescue tour with cesar. First we saw the flora in this part of the jungle, then visited the rescue center and saw lots of animals. cesar is clearly passionate about the animals and his work. Such an awesome experience, a must do!
