I rented through a realtor, but they disappeared on me when the lease ended and never gave my deposit back. The neighborhood also felt unsafe to me. Cartel members would regularly come to the restaurant in the building with armed guards, who surrounded the area when they arrived. The building is almost deserted, and it's in bad shape: broken and missing floor tiles, unpainted walls, and broken glass still around the pool, which seems dangerous. No wonder the place is nearly empty.

The rooftop has a nice pool, plus a gym and sauna. The condos are nice too, especially the two story apartments with private jacuzzis upstairs.

Belu and the late night security guard made a frightening start to our trip turn around completely. We got held up at the airport and then spent three hours at the rental car place, so we didn't reach Amira Residence until 2:30am. The guard couldn't find our Airbnb booking or any reservation details. After making a few calls, he let us stay the night and sort it out in the morning. We were in a foreign country in the middle of the night with nowhere to go, and I'm so grateful he helped us. We contacted Airbnb's emergency support, and they tried to reach the host right away. By 8am we learned the host had cancelled our reservation. We were never told why, though I'm assuming it was a scam. Belu came to our room at 10. We had packed and were uncomfortable, with no idea where we could go. She made us feel welcome and clearly tried everything she could to save our stay. She let us remain at the original Airbnb rate and even shared a list of her favorite vegan restaurants. The care from the team at Amira Residence was the best customer service we've ever experienced. What could have become a dangerous situation turned into a wonderful trip. We loved our stay and can't recommend the place enough. Thank you to Belu and the security staff for keeping us safe and treating us so kindly.
