Amorcito Corazón Hotel

I started out in a private room and later moved to a shared one. Both were great, and the staff were my favorite part. Doriane and Thomaz at the front desk were awesome. The hostel is right behind the ADO bus station, which is super convenient, and it has a friendly, welcoming vibe. There were lots of women traveling solo, and people speak English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, and more, so you'll feel at home :)

The location is handy, close to the main street and ADO bus terminal, but the hostel is still on a quiet back street. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it. The staff are friendly and know their stuff, and Tanya went out of her way to help me plan my trip. My six bed dorm was clean and comfortable, with really good mattresses. The air conditioning at night worked well. I liked having a hand towel and bath mat in the bathrooms. The lockers were a good size, though you'll need your own lock, and the room door needed a key, which felt secure. There are nice common spaces by reception, at the front, and on the top level. The kitchen is well equipped. Free breakfast and morning coffee were much appreciated, as was the filtered water. Fresh towels are available for a deposit, so there's no need to rent one. I also liked renting a bike from the hostel to visit the Archilogical Zone and beaches.

I would recommend this lovely place for its roof terrace, good rooftop kitchen, and bikes for rent. Just keep in mind there's a no alcohol rule. With a terrace like that, it could be the greatest party hostel, but you can't drink there, so it's really more of a nice spot to relax.

After four weeks traveling from Mexico-City to the Yucatán, this was the best hostel I stayed in. The kitchen was amazingly clean, and the rooftop and pool were lovely. Beds and pillows were really comfortable; the bathroom was clean, with warm water and good pressure. Everyone working there was helpful and kind. They rent bikes and even had a snorkel-set for us when we went to Akumal. Breakfast had six kinds of cereal, fruit, toast, marmelade, milk, yoghurt, juice, coffee, and tea. The hostel is right behind the ADO station, with Collectivos nearby. There are great Taquerias and ice-cream places around the corner, and the front desk can give advice. The nearest lavanderia is two minutes away. I stayed two nights longer than planned and would have stayed longer if I could.
