Aqua Viva Tulum

We were here for a wedding and had a fantastic stay. It worked really well for having a group together in one place. The staff were quick to respond and arranged cabs and a cook for one evening. Ginger, the resident cat, was great too. The upstairs rooms can be a little loud, though honestly, that’s true everywhere in town. There are lots of restaurants and other places within easy walking distance.

The service was amazing, and the rooms were clean. There’s a restaurant connected to the back door. Bring mosquito repellent, though.

I stayed for three nights, and both the room facilities and the experience were terrible. The shower barely worked. On our last night, around mid-morning, they shut off the water, electricity, and internet to make us leave, even though checkout was still four hours away. The way they forced us out was appalling and unpleasant. My work equipment also “disappeared,” and nobody is taking responsibility. Rain came through the cabins above in several places, soaking our clothes and suitcase. They hadn’t warned us about the leaks, and a coworker’s computer crashed because of the rain. It was a really, really bad stay. I’d give the place zero. Don’t trust the facility photos. I hope sharing this helps someone avoid going through what we did.
