A nice family runs this place, with beautiful modern architecture, very high ceilings, and lots of space. It's arranged as two-bedroom apartments, which work well for two couples traveling together. If you book just one room, you might share the living room and kitchen. We had the whole apartment to ourselves and loved it, though I wouldn't have minded sharing such a big space.

Guillermo, who also goes by Memo, was always around when we needed help. He even helped me order food and lent me the money to pay for it. The place itself is in a good spot, with tidy, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, a beach shuttle, and bikes to borrow. Getting back on foot at night felt a little scary, though a 35$ pesos cab ride sorted that out. One strange drawback: there’s no hot water, which is a letdown if you’re expecting a hot tub, bath, or shower. Apparently lots of places in Mexico struggle with hot water.

Alejandra made sure we felt looked after the whole time, and she’s an amazing host. We had such a lovely stay at this Casa. Next time I’m back in Tulum, I’d definitely stay longer. Highly recommend!

They agreed to refund one night after I cancelled, but the money never came. I followed up several times myself, and booking.com also asked them about it, but they ignored the requests. That says a lot about how they treat people. I’d never stay here.

Lovely hotel for the price, but I barely slept. An alarm kept going all night and into the morning, and nobody came to fix it.
