Hotel Los Arrecifes

Room 11 wasn’t clean. A lot of dust had collected in the decorative curtains, and I developed a corneal infection during my stay. For a newly established boutique hotel with high rates, basic cleaning needs to be taken seriously. Those curtains need proper maintenance. The location is good, with soft sand and a private beach. The welcome drink and cocktails were nice, and the air conditioning worked well. Thanks to Gabriel from Argentina for the friendly conversations.

The staff made this stay feel special from the start, especially Gabriel. When I said our first room was a little too noisy, he quickly arranged a quieter one. His kindness, attention to detail, and knack for sorting things out really stood out, and everyone else was warm and attentive too. We spent 8 nights here, and loved the beautiful decor, lovely atmosphere, delicious breakfasts, and expertly made drinks. It was a wonderful stay, and I’d happily come back.

What makes this small hotel memorable is the way the staff look after you. It has such a relaxed, at-home feel, and we felt cared for without having to think about anything. The rooms, views, location, and breakfast are all outstanding too. I enjoy the music and nightlife nearby, but if you’re after peace and quiet, this is the party area. You might prefer somewhere farther north or south.

We keep coming back because the whole place feels like home to us. This was my third visit, and I love how the beachside setting, views, rooms, design, and energy all make it easy to settle in. The team is kind, professional, and genuinely warm. Gabriel especially has a way of anticipating what you need and finding a fix for any problem, big or small, always with a smile. He’s a huge part of why the experience feels so special to us, and I’m not sure it would be the same without him. If you’re planning a Tulum getaway, I’d book here.
