Hotel Panamera

After 6 PM, the rooftop is a lovely place to catch the sunset, with great music, cocktails, and atmosphere. Panamera is my favorite choice whether I’m spending the day at the beach or lounging by the pool with friends. There’s usually a DJ, which adds to the mood. Their signature cocktails and the classics are both really well made. For food, I’d go for the castacan tacos, burrata pizza, or ceviche.

The service and hospitality are what would bring me back to Tulum, and I’d only consider staying at Hotel Panamera. The grounds are gorgeous, the meals were fabulous, and the rooms were beautiful. Housekeeping was on top of things, and I loved the proper turndown service at night. We spent most of our time at the property, heading out for dinner only twice because the staff made us feel so well looked after. The hotel has two pools, a huge beach area, beach bar, and rooftop bar, plus enough programming that you don’t need to leave. The owner seems to have taken inspiration from the ever-fabulous Soho Beach House, a high compliment. Music was never too loud, and I slept well every night, even with our room above the pool. Breakfast is well worth including. Luis, Armando, Pedro, and Francisco were our favorite morning servers. They let us enjoy coffee, juice, and fruit while we read and did crossword puzzles, then order the main dish whenever we liked. So accommodating! At the beach and pool, Alberto, Armando, Alexis, Erick, and David were always around to help but never pushy. Happy hour deals were great too, with a rotating cocktail offered three for two. I came in May after a brutal NYC winter, booking a last minute escape, and it was exactly what I needed.

I felt safe both inside and outside the resort, and the hotel had everything I needed. The ocean views were gorgeous, and I loved the look of the place. Staff were so friendly, the food was excellent, and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The nearby shops and excursions were lovely too. Hotel Panamera exceeded my expectations, and I’d love to come back.

We spent five days here for my son and daughter-in-law’s beautiful wedding, with 78 family members and friends. Everything at the hotel was just right. The service, beach, food, and staff were all wonderful and accommodating. We were thrilled with our stay.
