Luis Miguel made us feel welcome, even surprising us with a complimentary cocktail and a parting gift. The room was huge and magical, and the lounge by the pool was a lovely place to unwind. We only found the hotel because a street vendor on the way from the cenote pointed us to it, tucked away at the end of the street. We picked it over the more prominent hotels along the lagoon and were glad we did. With a car, the archaeological site and nearby cenotes were easy to reach. Jungla y Estrellas is a beautiful refuge.

We only wish we’d booked more nights. Jungla y Estrellas felt like a quiet, beautiful oasis, and we’d happily return someday. The ruins and restaurants were an easy walk away, and Luis gave us a ride to the cenotes. Alfonso and Luis were generous, charming hosts who made us feel very welcome. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

The owners’ humor and attention, and the energy of the place, were incredible. I tried one of the energy beds included in the hotel price after arriving with a stomach ache and feeling anxious. An hour later I felt relaxed, and my stomach felt much better. Everything about the stay felt zen, beautiful, and just right. I’d come back for a longer visit.

The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and the room was comfortable with thoughtful design. It was a cozy stay in a peaceful setting. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Birdsong in the morning was lovely, with more than a dozen kinds of birds in the trees, including an owl and a toh. We stayed as a family of five and all adored Jungla y Estrellas. It has the feel of a real jungle lodge, yet the centre and Coba ruins are only a 5-10 minute walk away. The place is beautifully put together with natural materials, and there was a great amount of hammock space. The sheets and towels were excellent, the beds comfortable, and the hosts were kind and really interesting guys. We’d hoped to stay a whole week. We found it on Google after a jungle lodge on the Ruta de Los cenotes looked nothing like its photos or reviews.
