Within days of my stay, I found unauthorized charges on my credit card. I had taken standard precautions, and my bank confirmed the transactions. When I contacted the hotel, they were dismissive and unprofessional, refused to accept any responsibility, and said their systems were “secure.” I believe that claim is false, and it seems they either lack proper security or have dishonest staff accessing guests’ financial information. This caused hours of stress as I dealt with the charges, cancelled my cards, and filed police reports. Don’t trust them with your payment details. If you’ve stayed there, check your statements immediately. To me, this goes beyond bad service and feels like criminal behavior.

A total waste of money. It was pouring, so we booked a room with a hot tub and internet TV to treat ourselves. The internet didn’t work, and the tub was filthy. They filled it with fresh water six hours later, only for us to discover it wouldn’t heat and was broken. The owner was arrogant, unapologetic, and had no interest in compensating us. This place ruined our last day in Tulum.

The food was so tasty, especially the dishes and Margaritas Armando prepared fresh to order. It might take a little longer, but the flavor was worth waiting for. The staff were incredibly nice, great at service, and always up for a smile or joke. It’s a beautiful, quiet place with relaxed jungle vibes, clean modern rooms, and a well-kept pool and hangout area. We definitely wished we could stay longer, and recommend it 100%.

When I paid at reception, the staff member kept checking whether payment alerts were reaching my phone, since I’m clearly a foreign tourist. Once he saw they were, he switched to another POS machine and said the first one wasn’t working. I later found I’d been charged for the room five times. The manager was rude and hid the staff member I believe stole the money. Afterward, I read the hotel’s Google reviews and saw other reports of guests being charged this way. I’m not the first victim. A terrible stay, and it didn’t feel safe at all.

Be careful, they went through all our stuff, taking everything out of our suitcases and opening it. Luckily we’d taken everything outside the room. The room was dirty too, and the shower was cold and filthy. What a rip-off.
