Kore Tulum Retreat and Spa Resort - Adults Only

Scam! Is the hotel even real? It’s been closed for months, but they’re still taking accommodation bookings. When you arrive, you get a notice saying the hotel is closed and they tried to tell you, but the booking company wouldn’t let them. That’s completely false. The person handing out the letter is very rude and says they know nothing. Then they send you to a different hotel that doesn’t offer anything like what you paid for. Contacting the hotel directly gets you treated rudely too. I’ve read about this happening 10 or more times. Many people have had the same problem, and nobody has received a solution or refund. It’s clearly false advertising. Apparently the hotel doesn’t exist, but they have another place ready for you to stay right away. Isn’t that strange? Terrible service and incompetent people.

The staff at Kore were so kind, and the rooms had great AC even during the humid off season. The pool was always clean too. My only complaint is that the hotel menu was really limited because it was off season.

I booked Kore Tulum for my birthday because it was advertised as an adults-only, all-inclusive wellness retreat with spa services. When I arrived, the property was closed for renovations. I’d had no email, call, or other notice beforehand, just a slip of paper saying I was being redirected to the Wyndham Grand Tulum. That was not an equal replacement. They should have told guests about the closure well in advance. It’s extremely disappointing to arrive expecting a particular experience and find the hotel isn’t even open. The lack of transparency and customer care was a real letdown.

We felt safe and well looked after as soon as we arrived at Kore Tulum Retreat & Spa Resort. Having the national guard stationed right outside gave us extra reassurance and helped us relax. The food was phenomenal, with fresh, authentic Mexican dishes at every meal. We also loved the entertainment, especially the Mayan healing and blessing ceremony, which was fascinating and spiritually uplifting. We used the free bikes to visit Jaguar National Park, where the beaches were breathtaking. There are impressive archaeological sites about 15 minutes away too, great for a little history and culture. The resort exceeded our expectations and really had everything we wanted for a getaway. We’re already thinking of coming back in May. Highly recommended for a mix of relaxation, adventure, and authentic Mexican experiences.
