La conchita Tulum

Luis from night security was especially kind. He shared useful tips and brought such positive energy. The room was spacious, and getting straight onto the beach was wonderful. Waking at 6 a.m. for the sunrise is definitely worth it. A great experience!

We enjoyed this hotel so much that we extended our stay. The beach is right outside, with cushions, and it was worth paying a bit more for that access. It’s definitely pricey, as you’d expect in Tulum, but I’d recommend it without hesitation. Nearby restaurant choices are limited. We went to Tulum Centro for dinner, and colectivos will take you there and back if you don’t want to rent a scooter. Scooter rental is available across the road.

We stayed two weeks ago, and for what we paid, it was a pretty good stay. We enjoyed ourselves, though I couldn’t have stayed longer than two or three days. We had a standard room downstairs; the upstairs rooms might be better. The place is quiet, with nice Mayan-style decor, good WiFi, and good AC. Rooms were clean and had daily housekeeping. There’s a safe in the room and refill water in the office. The beach is right there, with no rocks in the water and just a little seaweed, which was okay. There weren’t enough cabanas. There’s no TV, but that didn’t bother me. The beach bar next door at Mivida is easy to visit for drinks, though drinks are expensive, even if cheaper than at other places along the beach. For breakfast, I’d suggest the lovely little hut at Mivida overlooking the sea. Don’t go to Potheads across the road.

The room was huge and comfortable, the beach was really clean, and the beach beds were the comfiest. Staff were very nice and accommodating too. My boyfriend and I were unsure at first, but after staying here we’d recommend it completely. It was even better than another five-star hotel we’d booked earlier in Tulum. This one has a better location near lots of restaurants and shops, while still being quiet at night. We had an amazing stay.
