The restaurant was a nice surprise: we enjoyed the pizza, guacamole, and toast, and the location was great. The hotel itself looks gorgeous, with a lovely bohemian design. I especially liked the lamps built into the walls. Using the room was another story. There were no towel hooks, no bathroom door, and no “Do Not Disturb” sign. The safe couldn’t fit a 13” laptop. Noise was a problem even in our room at the back: street sounds came through, and the lobby music at 6am carried across the courtyard. Looks lovely, but functionally it falls short.

We’d had this hotel on our list ever since we first saw it. The modern, minimalist design is distinctive, and the staff were very friendly and tried to make us comfortable. We also loved the meals at the newly opened cafe, probably the best food we had in Tulum. But the stay was really uncomfortable, with almost no privacy. It’s on Tulum’s main street, and a nearby bar plays loud music until 2am. We weren’t told there’d be construction downstairs. Our windows faced a roof area where workers were building, so they could see us showering or using the toilet. There’s no divider between the toilet and bedroom either. The pool area wasn’t very useful: sunshine reaches it for only about 30 minutes, the water doesn’t warm up, and there are just four loungers, two tucked in the shade. Workers kept passing by while we were trying to relax.

Right in downtown Tulum and close to whatever you might need, this place has a lot going for it. The architecture and decor are gorgeous, the rooftop bar looks great, and the pools were clean and nice. Service was excellent, with friendly staff. I’d definitely return.

The food and cocktails at the restaurant were the best I had during my time in Tulum. There’s also a saltwater pool right beside it, which was a great bonus. Our room was spotless, and the AC kept blowing cold air all day and night. The shower pressure was great, especially with the waterfall head. Everything felt clean and beautiful, and the staff were kind, professional, and very helpful. Lovely hotel. I’ll stay here on future visits. Here’s a tour of our queen room with garden view:
