Nueva Vida de Ramiro

We were there during the holiday season, and unlike some nearby hotels, this one didn’t double or triple its prices. The rooms were spacious and very clean, breakfast was included and delicious, and the staff were super nice. The eggs come from the chicken farm on site. We loved sitting on the deck with the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. Right on the beach and tucked into the jungle, it felt close to nature. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The hotel felt like a dream, even though we didn’t like Tulum or the surrounding area. I’d pick the place up and move it to another village so I could visit every year. It’s quiet, with waves, beach, and wildlife instead of loud music and lots of tourists. Everyone was thoughtful and kind, from the manager to the concierge, and nothing we asked for seemed too much. Breakfast is included. We ate right on the beach twice, and it was delicious. I’d choose the little restaurant on site over restaurant tamarindos across the street. A doormat would help with the sticky sand, even though there’s a foot pool just outside the house, and a drying rack would be useful too. We loved our stay.

The breakfast served on the beach was simple, tasty, and filling. We also had tacos al pastor for lunch, some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Staff were friendly and took care of whatever we needed, including helping us arrange transport and tours before we arrived. We stayed five days and highly recommend it. It’s a long way down the hotel strip and not near the more party-focused areas, but that suited us.

A simple two-star bungalow hotel right on the beach, with roomy rooms, decent service, and a good free breakfast at the restaurant. Restaurants are conveniently close, and it was fairly quiet, though techno beats could sometimes be heard in the distance. The ocean breeze was enough most of the time, so I used the A/C just one night.
