Orchid House Tulum Jungle

We loved the jungle feel here, plus the fresh food and drinks and attentive staff. We prefer not to stay in the busy city center, with all its noise and traffic, and this boutique hotel was a great fit. By scooter or car, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive to most places, or around a 15 minute walk. They’ll call a cab, which can arrive in 2-3 minutes, or you can rent a scooter from them for $600 pesos per 24 hours. We also got access to their beachfront Orchid Beach Hotel and really liked it when we visited.

A really relaxing stay with a jungle-retreat feel. We rented four-wheelers and drove to the sister hotel, Orchid Beach House, where they had parking. The beach access was great too.

The included breakfast was amazing, and the staff were so helpful with everything. Frank at the front desk did all he could to make sure we were comfortable. The “jungle” part of Tulum is a convenient spot, and the beach zone is only about a 10 minute drive away. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. Highly recommend it!

The room was clean and cozy, and housekeeping did a great job each day during our three-night stay. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. The manager even went to a money exchange to change our dollars into pesos, saving us the taxi fare there and back. Whenever we asked, they brought us hot or cold water and handled our requests without hesitation. On our departure day, they made boxed breakfasts before the regular breakfast started so we could eat before our early flight. Breakfast came with tropical fruit, toast with butter and jelly, yogurt with granola, and fresh fruit juice. I did wish there were some protein, like eggs or sausage. The room also could have been a bit larger, with a table for our things, and a microwave would have been nice. Still, we had a great experience, and the staff's smiles and willingness to help really stood out.
